La vida de un guardia forestal de temporada se basa en trasladarse a nuevas ciudades, nuevos parques, nuevos puestos de trabajo. Conoces a personas, aprendes nuevas cosas, tienes nuevas experiencias. Es una vida loca de migraciones según las estaciones de todo el continente, una vida siempre en movimiento. Pero de vez en cuando te encuentras con un lugar que te atrae y que nunca te deja ir. Hechiza tu mente y no deja de sorprenderte. Conseguí esta fotografía en mi primera noche en Glacier Bay, sin saber que mi estilo de vida de peregrinaje se arraigaría a este lejano rincón agreste de Alaska.

The life of a seasonal park ranger is all about moving to new states, new parks, new jobs. You meet new people, you learn new things, you have new experiences. It’s a crazy life of seasonal migrations across the continent, a life always on the move. But once in a while you run across a place that draws you in and never lets you go. It enchants your mind and never ceases to amaze. I snapped this photo my first evening in Glacier Bay, unaware that my peregrinating lifestyle would eventually become focused on this faraway corner of Alaskan wilderness. Photographer: Emily Mount
