Parece que este oso pardo y su cachorro, han tenido bastante éxito en este arroyo de Tidal Inlet (la ensenada Tidal), ya que los vi pescar allí varios días seguidos. Además de esta pareja, vi a cinco o seis osos pardos más, pescando en el mismo río. Cuando hay exceso de comida, como por ejemplo durante la migración de los salmones, los osos pueden ser muy tolerantes de la cercanía de sus congéneres. Con tanta comida por todas partes, no hay necesidad de gastar la preciosa energía luchando.

This brown bear and her cub must have been quite successful at this stream in Tidal Inlet, as I saw them fishing there several days in a row. In addition to this pair, I saw five or six other brown bears fishing in the same stream. When there is a surplus of food, such as during a salmon run, bears can be quite tolerant of other nearby bears.
