ある寒い冬の朝、氷で一杯のサーモン川（Salmon River）を泳ぐ三羽のナキハクチョウ。サーモン川はグレーシャーベイ（Glacier Bay）国立公園の玄関口であるグスタバス（Gustavus）市にあります。海水と凍った淡水が合流するところで、潮の満ち引きによって氷が何千もの氷板に砕けます。ハクチョウは、氷板の間を移動して川の底や水際で餌を食べます。

在一个寒冷的冬日早晨，三只Trumpeter Swan(黑嘴天鹅)在Gustavus(嘎斯戴维斯镇)——Glacier Bay(冰川湾)的门户城市布满浮冰的Salmon River(鲑鱼河)上行进。在这个镜头里，冻结的淡水跟海水相会，随着潮汐起落，冰河断裂出成千上万的冰块。天鹅在冰块间移动，在河的底部和边缘进食。

En una fría mañana de invierno, tres cisnes trompeteros navegan por el helado río Salmon, en la ciudad de Gustavus - la puerta de entrada a Glacier Bay. Aquí, el agua dulce se encuentra con el mar, y el hielo se fractura en miles de placas, conforme la marea sube y baja. Los cisnes se mueven entre el hielo, alimentándose del fondo y de los bordes del río.

On a cold winter morning, three Trumpeter Swans navigate the ice-choked Salmon River in Gustavus – the gateway city to Glacier Bay. Here, the frozen fresh water meets the sea and the ice is fractured into thousands of plates as the tide rises and falls. The swans move amongst the ice feeding on the bottom and edges of the river.
