La orquídea calypso, también conocida como zapatilla de venus, es tan frágil como hermosa. Para que florezca, necesita unas condiciones muy específicas, y las ventanas de tiempo cuando está en flor, son breves. Tuve la suerte de encontrar ésta, entre algunas otras, a lo largo de la costa exterior.

Calypso orchids are as fragile as they are beautiful. The conditions required for them to bloom are quite specific and the windows of time when they are in bloom are brief. I was lucky to find this one amongst a few others along the outer coast. Photographer: Sean Neilson
