Margerie Glacier on a “Fairweather Day”. Once in a great while, the snowiest spot on Earth clears, affording us a view from the edge of the sea to the crown of Mt. Fairweather. On these hallowed “Fairweather Days”, visitors can see the paths of the glaciers in their entirety as they wind down 15,000 feet of elevation over a distance of over 20 miles to the sea.
