氷山の上にワシが止まるのは稀だと思われるかも知れませんが、グレーシャーベイ（Glacier Bay）ではよく見られる光景です。この高さからは辺りがよく見渡せるので餌が探しやすい上、飛び立ちやすいのです。

你可能没有预料到会在巨型冰块上看到一只鹰，但是在Glacier Bay（冰川湾）这并不是那么的不寻常。从这个更高的观察位置，鹰可以更好地发现潜在猎物，并且这个位置也提供了一个高些的起飞平台。

Tal vez no espere encontrarse un águila en un tempano de hielo, pero en Glacier Bay no es tan inusual. Desde ese ventajoso punto de observación, es más fácil para el águila visualizar a su potencial presa; y le provee de una plataforma elevada desde la cual emprender el vuelo.
