ハウチワマメに囲まれ、木の柔らかい新芽を探すヘラジカの子供。ヘラジカの赤ちゃんは五月末に生まれますが、暫く見かけることはありません。それは、敵から逃げ切れるぐらい大きくなるまで子供が目立たないよう母親が守るためです。

Esta cría de alce está observando los tiernos brotes de entre las coloridas flores de lupino. Los alces nacen generalmente a principios de mayo, pero no se suelen ver hasta que las madres tienen la certeza de que son lo bastante grandes como para correr más rápido que los depredadores.
