六月初旬のギーキー入り江（Geikie Inlet）。前年の冬は積雪量が多く、まだ雪が残っています。まだ雪があるにも関わらず、ハコヤナギの葉が出ています。夏は短く、一日でも貴重なためです。足に絡まるシトカオルダーがまだ雪の下に埋もれていたので、この日はハイキングにはもってこいの日でした。

六月初的Geikie Inlet（盖基湾）。前一年冬天雪下得很大，而且融化得很慢。尽管下雪了，这些毛果杨还是长出了叶子，因为夏季既短又珍贵。这是远足的好路径——比较矮的“缠脚的”桤木分枝都被藏在一层平坦压实的雪下面。

A pesar de ello, estos álamos abrieron sus hojas, ya que el verano es corto y muy apreciado. Fue una excelente manera de ir de excursión, sin enredarse los pies, porque las ramas inferiores de los alisos estaban ocultas debajo de una capa llana de nieve.

Early June in Geikie Inlet. The previous winter saw a lot of snow and it was slow to melt. Despite the snow, these cottonwood trees have leafed out, for the summer season is short and precious.
